FUTURE VISION IN PRACTICE

Future Vision is led by local young people for local children and youth to create a sustainable, safe environment for them to play, learn and progress.  The Future Vision Centre in Mzimba was initialised as a hub for all local children to access and become a friendly place where we talk about issues like HIV/AIDS and build a supportive family.  Young people take leadership but are guided by different faith leaders involved with MANERELA+.  At Future Vision we all grow physically, mentally, spiritually and socially.

Activity Sessions:  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2pm - 4pm at the Future Vision Centre, Mzimba boma.

Youth Training:  Our young leaders meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm at Tovwirane Youth Club.  We carry out training as an extension of their work with our partner Tovwirane HIV/AIDS Organisation.

MANERELA+Support Groups: Volunteers from Future Vision and MANERELA+ interact on a regular basis with members of two HIV/AIDS support groups based in Mzimba.  We concentrate on educational, social and financial support, looking at nutrition, culinary skills and income generating activities.

Outreach Work: We primarily support two ongoing projects with Kaulira preschool and 'Trees For Life' in Kasomba.  We also partner with COIDA in Jenda, Everychild in Bulala, and Tovwirane in multiple Mzimba locations.

Skills Exchange: As an organisation we facilitate skills exchange between members of the Mzimba community.  Future Vision and MANERELA+ are planning a learning exchange between two community based organisations from Kaulira and Kasomba.
